Hi,

Hope you are doing great!!

It has been a depressing week for me after hearing the sudden and shocking demise of my all time favourite "MJ - The King Of Pop" His music is what fans like me grew on or rather that was the only music, we ever heard those days. I was looking forward to his London Event and the news of his demise just blew it all up for me. Anyways do check out on this link housing some of MJ’s best music!!

This edition we bring you interviews with the Sales heads at Universal Music India and TIPS Industries Ltd. In our last edition, our guest, Mr. Bashir Shaikh, ex-Director, A&R, BMG Crescendo spoke to us at length about a trade secret called 'STOCK DUMPING' in the Indian Music Industry, which was some sort of a revelation to us. Hence Team IMT embarked on an extensive study of the Physical Sales in the Music Industry. The facts that unfolded and the traditional ways the markets operated were unbelievable. Read on as our guests in this edition share with us their Sales Strategies in a struggling Physical Market and clearly defend themselves on the burning issue of STOCK DUMPING.

Early June, I attended Music Matters; an Asia focused Music Conference held in Hong Kong. Of all the music conferences I have attended, this one was by far one of the most effective ones. Besides listening to all those focused panels, I also caught up with Terry McBride, the world's best artist mentor. Having shaped the careers of pop icons like Avril Lavigne, Dido, Sarah McLachlan and others, Terry did an impromptu artist mentoring session at the venue, which was quite interesting. We chatted up on issues faced by artists and artist managers of today and how they went about handling it.

Do check out the Music Matters Album in our Picture Gallery!!

Enjoy Reading!!
