British rockers Blur will reform on stage for the upcoming Brit Awards ceremony, according to bassist Alex James.
The band will be honoured with the Outstanding Contribution to Music trophy at the February ceremony in London and James has now confirmed they will close the show after they pick up the coveted award.
"We're going to play, which is brilliant. It's like putting the Blues Brothers back together," James told Britain's XFM radio station.
When asked about the prospect of another Blur tour, he said: "Well, let's hope - heritage year next year. (Would) be good wouldn't it?"
The band returned to the music scene to headline a series of UK festivals in 2009, following a six-year hiatus.
