Rup Magon made his acting debut with the film "Breakaway" (In India the film was called "Speedy Singhs") which also starred Anupam Kher, Rusell Peters, Rob Lowe and was produced by Akshay Kumar.

Rup featured in a comic role as an ice hockey player in the film. The singer had done his homework and underwent three months of rigorous ice hockey training to get into character for the film. JoSh also had one of the title tracks in the film called "Chudee Valay Yaar" composed by Meet Brothers and written by Kumaar.  The film marked his first major track in Bollywood!

With collaborations with international artists such as Nelly Furtado and Apache Indian, JoSH has become the most widely recognized Indo-Pak-Canadian band on the globe.
